About - Rob Neill

Rob Neill is the Artistic Director and a founding ensemble member of the New York Neo-Futurists. He trained at the London Academy of Music and Dramatic Art, the National Theater Institute, The Atlantic School, The PIT, and Grinnell College. He has worked with the Neo-Futurists on The Infinite Wrench and Too Much Light Makes The Baby Go Blind in both New York and Chicago since 1995. Rob produced with the People of Godspell on Broadway and has worked on a variety of Indie Theater projects. He teaches Neo-Futurism, acting, storytelling, and creative workshops around the country.

Rob's plays have appeared at P.S. 122, HERE Arts Center, the Ontological, BB Kings, The Battle Ranch, NYU Skirball Center, Cherry Lane & The Kraine, as well as in Chicago, Edinburgh, Los Angeles, and even at sea. In addition to two short books of poetry, Rob’s plays are included in several Neo-Futurist books. As a performance artist, he has worked with the Ontological Incubator, Vampire Cowboys, The Brick, Living Theater, Bowery Poetry, Partial Comfort, Ars Nova, The Public, 24-hour Plays, NACL, and The Orchard Project.

Over the years, Rob has been on TV and in numerous commercials and indie films. His stage credits include 1st National Tour: Peter and the Starcatcher; Broadway: London Assurance; London: The Cherry Orchard; Regional: You Never Can TellTartuffe, and The Real Thing; Off-Off Broadway: Mary, Mary, Spring AwakeningHamlet, Laika Dog In Space, Short Term Directions, and Doughboy. Performance Poetry: Various venues around the country and with Chicago Green Mill & Hollywood Slam teams.
